Location

Rejowiec Fabryczny is the only town in Chelm district that is situated in south-east part of Lublin's province, next to the border with Ukraine (23017'E and 51005'N)-50 km East from Lublin and about 20 km West from Chelm. The Western and Northern part of the town borders with the Rejowiec Fabryczny municipality, while the southern and Eastern part borders with the Rejowiec Municipality, acording to the physical-geographical division of Poland (J. Kondracki, 1988 r.). The Rejowiec Fabryczny Town is placed in the Pagórów Chełmskich area, which is part of the Polesie Wołyńskie macro-region. The North part of the town is in the Ecological System of Protected Areas, situated in the Pawłowski Area of protected Landscapes. That area is spread over to the North of the town borders and goes to the West and contains the Valley of Wieprz River. Through this Valley Pawłowski Area of protected Landscapes communicates with Nadwieprzanski National Park to the North, and Grabowiecko - Strzelecki Area of protected Landscapes to the South. The 14 square km of the town's surface is in parallel crossed by the railway tracks and regional east-northern west route which divides the city in two parts:
Southern -the agricultural one, placed on high agriculture utility soils
Northern- the one providing main city services and living places. This area is of worse soils with area reserved
for investments and housing. There is 5 thousand habitants in Rejowiec Fabryczny nowadays.
The town's location, on important rail track leading from Warsaw to Lublin and to Chelm and to the country's border
(Dorohusk), composed of wide track from Jagodin (Ukraine) to Zawadowka, and also in small distance (8km) from the
Warsaw-Lublin-Dorohusk route (no. 12), enables to connect town's future with activating trans-border cooperation and
mercantile exchange between European Union Countries and Ukraine and former USSR countries. The villages situated
in nearby parishes are of agricultural character. The areas adjacent to the town are highly forestal. Breading ponds also
exist in this area. It creates conditions for undertaking activities connected with food processing or sweet water fish
processing and breeding. Forests and water reservoirs are also the elements which favour the development of agrotourism
and spending holidays far from the city.
